The Carolina Shag is a slotted swing dance that shares many similarities with the Jitterbug and the East Coast Swing Dance. The Shag Dance originated in the 1930s along the East Coast and is a local favorite in Virginia Beach. The Carolina Shag is a fun and easy to learn local tradition!
